CALL ✓

SYNTAX

   CALL name
   CALL name[par1 [,par 2 [, ....]]]

PURPOSE

The CALL keyword Transfers control to a routine. The first parameter is the procedure to call. The procedure can be called using a list of variables or expressions representing arguments passed to the procedure when it is called. Multiple arguments are separated by commas. If you include prameters, you must enclose it in parentheses.

You can use the CALL keyword when calling a procedure. For most procedure calls, it is not necessary to use this keyword. Typically you use the CALL keyword when the called expression does not begin with an identifier.

If the procedure returns a value, the calling statement deletes it.

EXAMPLE

  CALL factorial(42)
